Nanette has been interested in all aspects of sewing  and various crafts since she was very young, and has been   making her own clothes since primary school.

  Her sewing was mainly self taught with only a few basic lessons in sewing at school.  Nanette   studied art at school and this has made most crafts much easier. The rest is self taught, mainly   by practice and going to various classes and workshops over the years.

   For seven years, she designed and manufactured clothes under her two labels sold them to    shops all over country NSW. That led to opening the shop in September,1994 where she has    been able to pursue her interests in sewing and crafts, particularly Folk Art and creative embroidery  

Nanette's silk ribbon and wool embroidery designs have been published in national craft and embroidery magazines .She has also judged needlework and sewing at shows. All this experience puts Nanette in a position where she can offer expert advice and help with all your sewing and pattern problems, and help with your machine ideas for your craft and embroidery.

Country Flair Sew 'n' Craft, owned and operated by Nanette Jurd, is your one stop sewing and craft shop in town. Catering to all your needs, it stocks a range of dress fabrics, laces and all your sewing and craft needs from embroidery and tapestries to folk art supplies. All paints, brushes ,and wooden items are available. Tapestries, wool blanketing and embroidery wool's, along with a large range of silk ribbons are always in stock. Baby wool and knitting needles are stocked all year round. A dress making service is also available.

Nanette runs various sewing and craft classes and workshops at all times throughout the year, with visiting tutors often taking workshops and classes.  There is also a regular colour and image consultant visiting in store.

Most ladies think their over locker is just for  running up seams, but there is a lot of decorative work you can do with over lockers and different decorative threads.
